Have you ever touched Clay? That’s a question I ask my customers as I hand them a ball of clay to play with. They smile and most of them can relate back to a time in their childhood when they were introduced to Clay. I remember my first time, I was in fourth grade. Something clicked and I was hooked.
To me, working and Clay is a physical, sensual, and mental experience. It allows me to step out of that every day chaos into a world of extreme Zen and meditation. My adult playground.
Every finger print intentional or unintentional that I leave means a part of me is forever connected to the piece I made.
When I touch Clay, I am interacting with the earth, building a relationship with something that’s millions of years old. Creating something that’s never been created before.
Long after I leave this earth, a part of me will still be here. Over the last 39 years, I have made over 50,000 pieces. That’s a lot of little clay animals left behind still making people smile.
My purpose in life... I’m good with that❤️
