I am an aspiring minimalist who is seduced by the beautiful textures I see around me: the bark of trees, cloud patterns and antique textiles,. I find the rich mark of texture makes the world a more interesting more place. You will find elements in my jewelry that mirror that balance between enough detail to delight the eye without overcrowding it. I strive to find that balance for the wearer in making simple, refined wearable jewelry that will keep their interest for years to come.
I work with sterling silver, brass, copper and 22kt gold, often combining metals to get add detail and contrast. Many of my pieces are one of a kind, incorporating gem stones and ancient coins. I enjoy experimenting and learning new techniques, and looking for new textures to incorporate in my pieces.
You can see my work at local arts and crafts shows, and the Downtown Santa Cruz Makers Market the third Sunday of the month and the Westside Marketplace on the first Sunday of the month. Check out my Instagram page for most recent work.
